This French toast is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. All the flavor of the holidays.

½ cup eggnog
2 eggs
¼ teaspoon cinnamon, optional
4 slices thick white bread
2 tablespoons butter, for the pan

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the eggnog, eggs, and cinnamon.
  2. Whisk until everything is combined and cohesive.
  3. In a large nonstick pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Soak bread for 2 minutes on each side
  5. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the pan and place soaked bread into the pan.
    Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Using a spatula, flip the French toast pieces and brown the other side for an additional 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the pan and repeat with remaining bread slice and butter.
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  8. Serve with maple syrup or jam.
