I bought malted milk powder to make “hotel waffles” and saw a recipe for malted chocolate chip cookies and had to try them. Incredibly delicious!!!

2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 whole eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla paste or extract
1/2 cup (rounded) (66 grams) malted milk powder
2 cups (9 ounces) all-purpose flour
1-1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1-1/4 teaspoon salt
One 12-ounce bag dark chocolate chips (or your favorite)
Finishing salt, if desired

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper

With mixer on low speed, cream the butter, then add both sugars and cream until fluffy.
Add the eggs and vanilla, and beat until combined.
Add the malted milk powder and beat until combined.

Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt over butter mixture.
With a spoon, stir until just combined.
Add the chocolate chips and stir in gently.

Use a small cookie scoop, and drop dough on the prepared baking sheet, leaving plenty of space between the cookies (they spread out quite a bit).

Bake for 9 to 10 minutes, until light golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly, then remove cookies from sheet to cooling rack.
Sprinkle a few grains of finishing salt on each cookie.
The cookies will be very flat and chewy.

These freeze great!
