It sounds wild, but these spare ribs are crazy juicy and delicious.  And so easy!

3 T. paprika
2 T. brown sugar
1/4 t. cayenne pepper (only if you want some heat)
1 t. kosher salt
2 1/2 – 3 lbs. baby back ribs
BBQ sauce (I use Sticky Fingers or Bullseye)

Mix paprika, sugar, cayenne, and salt in bowl and rub evenly over ribs.
Arrange ribs on their side with bones being vertical around outside of slow cooker with meaty sides facing outward.
If you don’t have enough ribs to make them stand up straight, loosely ball up some aluminum foil and keep them propped up.
Cover and cook until ribs are tender, 4-5 hours.

Adjust oven rack 10 inches from broiler element and heat broiler.
Place wire racks in aluminum foil lined baking sheet.
Spray rack with cooking spray.

Transfer cooked ribs, meaty side up, to racks in baking sheet.
Brush ribs with BBQ sauce, and broil 5 minutes.
Flip ribs and brush underside with sauce, and broil 5 minutes.
Flip and brush with sauce one more time on each side until ribs and brown and sticky.

Serve with additional BBQ sauce.  Delicious!
